A Perth Love Story

In 2010, we walked into the Mill Street Cheese Company in Georgetown, Ontario. As we sampled unique cheeses and freshly cut meats from all over the world, we realized we would be regulars. How could we resist falling in love with the delightful tastes and textures? From that moment, we dreamed of creating our own cheese shop.

We needed to find a home to build our dream, and we wanted to be in a community that loved cheese, and would appreciate the way a fine charcuterie board brings friends and family together. In Perth, we found a community full of caring, friendly people, and we’re thrilled to delight the community with cheese, meats, and other treats for years to come.

So, we brought our family to Perth and found it was the perfect place for us, especially our children—James, who loves the fishing and outdoor experiences here, and Alison. Alison, who is the happiest, friendliest girl you’ll ever meet, was born with slightly different DNA than the rest of us (but quite frankly, we think she’s the lucky one). The Perth community has welcomed Alison with open arms, and she has found a wonderful group of classmates and teachers at St. John High School.

We like to think that we found Perth, but honestly, we think Perth found us. With such a fantastic community that also loves cheese, we’ve found our home.

And, at long last, The Perth Cheese Shop was born!
